The Story of Crow Boy
The Story of Crow Boy explores the brutal, often harrowing childhood story of Taro Yashima, who survived the ravages of WWII and racial discrimination to find his voice – and joy – through poetic visual forms and works of social conscience. Based on his 1956 Caldecott Honor book, Crow Boy, and other autobiographical work, and placed in the hands of Minneapolis’ In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theater, it becomes a theatrically stunning tribute to Yashima and to the human spirit itself. See this powerful show at Shattuck-St. Mary's in Faribault on Jan. 18, performance at 7:30pm. For more information, call 507/333-1620 or go to s-sm.org/calendar.
