The Steele County Historical Society is offering an excursion to the History Theatre for the Ivey award-winning hit musical, Glensheen followed by happy hour at Forepaugh’s. The air-conditioned Cavalier motorcoach will depart from SCHC at noon and will return at approximately 8pm.
The blockbuster hit musical Glensheen has returned to the History Theatre in St. Paul! It is 1977. An heiress, kind and generous, is found dead in her bed. Her night nurse, lying lifeless on the staircase. A robbery? A clumsy break-in? A conspiracy? A scandal! The Congdon family tragedy splashed across the headlines of every newspaper in Minnesota. But what really happened on that fateful night at the Glensheen Mansion? Whodunit? Witness this dark musical that tackles the tale with wicked dialogue and evocative music. Seating is on the main floor.
After the performance, the group will enjoy happy hour at Forepaugh’s, a historic and charming 19th-century Victorian mansion located in Irvine Park, once part of St. Paul’s more exclusive residential districts.
Tickets for the excursion are available at Steele County Historical Center or online at eventbrite.com. Member rate $75; non-member rate $85. Ticket includes admission to the play and the motorcoach ride with happy hour food & beverage on your own. Space is limited and filling quickly.
