The Northfield Historical Society and Museum remain closed to the public but the staff remains hard at work. Staff is working part time at the office and part time at home, but we are available to take research requests and answer questions. We are hoping to be able to start offering tours in June, but they may not be able to take place indoors. Several ideas are being discussed as to how we can bring history outside of our doors.

The bank is being repaired from the February water damage and we hope to have it finished by the time we are given the chance to reopen. An updated online store with select products has been added to our website and very soon we will have an option for the community to shop curbside! We are adding two new products to our line this spring – bandit t-shirts and bandit masks. Look for them soon in our store windows.

Hops, Grapes & History is going virtual this year as a Team Trivia game that every household can play. Registration will take place between May 1 and May 12 by following the link on the NHS website. On May 13, all those who’ve registered will be sent the trivia sheets via email. Completed trivia sheets are due May 16 at noon and the community is invited to watch Facebook Live at 7pm on May 16 to learn the answers and hear the prize announcements. The cost to play is $25 per household.
