In this whose-doing-what delightful farce adapted for radio, and performed by area youth actors, Snake and Harry, con artists, have the steal of a lifetime – the famous Devonport diamonds, owned by the late Amelia Devonport. All they have to do is discover where they are hidden when they attend her funeral. The only problem is – where are the diamonds? And who else is in on the deal? AND who is the real John Smith?? The MISTery of Mars, written by Kosmo Esplan and Pauline Jennings, is based on the X Minus One radio series of the 1950s. This episode aired on KYMN Radio on May 20.
When a space crew, led by an all-business captain, lands on Mars, they discover a human civilization. But it’s definitely not what it seems. Soon, the crew begins acting strange, except for the suspicious doctor. What’s really happening? Are there humans living on Mars? Or is it something more . . . dangerous?
The show includes original, hilarious fake commercials and a jingle, no less - all written by the cast members. The show was directed via Zoom by Pauline Jennings, and it was, yet again, an absolute blast for all of the actors - and that’s not because the show includes a blaster fight.

Challenge of the Yukon!
Challenge of the Yukon was a radio serial play from the 1930s. A group of young Northfield actors and actresses, age 11-13, recreate Episode 535 (Breakup) of the series. The actors rehearsed using the Zoom platform and then director Pauline Jennings edited the final performance for radio. The episode originally aired on KYMN Radio on April 15.
