We last left our Adventures of Stardust space crew (and middle-school actors) in the giant spaceship, Immensitivity, in orbit around Mars, after a major battle between humans and martians left the latter decimated. Listen to hear what happens next in Episode #3, InterROGUEations - filled with spies, rogue agents, plenty of mayhem, heroes and, of course, sci-fi battles!

The National Opposite Day commercial was written by Kosmo Esplan, and the National Redundancy Day commercial was written by Kosmo Esplan and Pauline Jennings. The accompanying jingle’s melody and lyrics were written and sung by Jillian Ros, the piano accompaniment was written and performed by Maddie Bussmann.

Episode 6: A Cut Above the Rest

In this whose-doing-what delightful farce adapted for radio, and performed by area youth actors, Snake and Harry, con artists, have the steal of a lifetime – the famous Devonport diamonds, owned by the late Amelia Devonport. All they have to do is discover where they are hidden when they attend her funeral. The only problem is – where are the diamonds? And who else is in on the deal? AND who is the real John Smith?? A Cut Above the Rest also includes original, hilarious fake commercials and a jingle, all written and performed by the cast members, and is directed via Zoom by Pauline Jennings.

Episode 5: WILLing to Win, Part I

The continuation of the sci-fi series Adventures of Stardust, created by Pauline Jennings and Kosmo Esplan. The first episode was The MISTery of Mars. Part 1 of this episode, WILLing to Win, (part 2 will air on June 17th) picks up where we left off . . . Captain Black and First Officer Lustig prepare for the arrival of the captain’s twin brother Will, while Doctor Horst and Navigator Masters fly to Jupiter, where they believe a spaceship has mysteriously landed. Meanwhile, Xyxyian and the other martians make plans to destroy the humans. The show was written by Kosmo Esplan, and directed via Zoom by Pauline Jennings.

Episode 4: The Case of the Careless Client

The Case of The Carless Client is a well known Agatha Christie show. When a man is found murdered in a New York apartment, Detective Hercule Poirot goes on a mission to crack this confusing case and search for the unknown criminal. He meets many people along the way that could be suspects, but who is the real murderer? The show includes original, hilarious fake commercials and a jingle - all written by the cast. The show is directed via Zoom by director Pauline Jennings, and it was a blast for all of the actors!

Episode 3: The MISTery of Mars

The MISTery of Mars, written by Kosmo Esplan and Pauline Jennings, is based on the X Minus One radio series of the 1950s. This episode aired on KYMN Radio on May 20.

When a space crew, led by an all-business captain, lands on Mars, they discover a human civilization. But it’s definitely not what it seems. Soon, the crew begins acting strange, except for the suspicious doctor. What’s really happening? Are there humans living on Mars? Or is it something more . . . dangerous?

The show includes original, hilarious fake commercials and a jingle, no less - all written by the cast members. The show was directed via Zoom by Pauline Jennings, and it was, yet again, an absolute blast for all of the actors - and that’s not because the show includes a blaster fight.

Episode 2: The Black Husky

The second episode of Challenge of the Yukon, called The Black Husky, features young Northfield actors and actresses recreating the historic radio play via Zoom.  Pauline Jennings is the producer/director.  Originally aired on KYMN Radio on April 29. The cast includes:

Challenge of the Yukon!

Challenge of the Yukon was a radio serial play from the 1930s. A group of young Northfield actors and actresses, age 11-13, recreate Episode 535 (Breakup) of the series. The actors rehearsed using the Zoom platform and then director Pauline Jennings edited the final performance for radio. The episode originally aired on KYMN Radio on April 15.
