Tamburitzans at Crossings

Crossings at Carnegie welcomes the acclaimed folk ensemble, the Tamburitzans, back to the State Theater in Zumbrota on Thursday, Aug. 9, and they promise an evening you won’t forget. Named after a stringed folk instrument, the tamburitza, these performing artists combine song and dance in celebration of the rich musical heritage of Armenia, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Poland, Romania and Russia. Traditional costumes and authentic instruments enhance the lovely vocals; this is a musical trip through Eastern Europe that will stay with you long after the evening ends. Performance begins at 7pm; for more information and tickets, go to crossingsatcarnegie.com or call 507/732-7616.
