Acoustic Roots Session: Sam Ryden

Third Wednesdays are “Acoustic Roots Sessions” at Imminent. Tonight, local singer/songwriter Sam Ryden graces the stage with his poetic lyrics, buttery voice and talent on six strings. Ranging from rhythmic, understated Prine-esque folk ballads to soaring, funked-out soul, Ryden finds so many ways to express his musical message. Lyrically, he tackles topics like love and longing, redemption and resilience, among other things – and produces surprisingly sophisticated and layered original work for an artist his age.
