Bluegrass Americana Festival
6 pm Blue Groove – Blue Groove is a multiple award-winning bluegrass band based in the Twin Cities that plays both contemporary and classic tunes with a creative approach that drives while still maintaining a sense of laid-back, Midwestern chill. That’s what they mean by “groove.” The band’s inviting sound, combined with their openness and warmth – on and off-stage – have made them crowd favorites at festivals and concert venues all around Minnesota and the Upper Midwest.
7 pm The Hacklewrappers – The Hacklewrappers are a six-piece Americana/folk/bluegrass band based in the Twin Cities east metro area. They met each other at various jams in the area and, liking the sounds they heard when playing together, decided to start a band.
8 pm Switched at Birth – Since 1998, Switched At Birth has been entertaining folks with their wide array of musical styles. On any given performance, you can expect to hear bluegrass, folk, blues, country, Cajun, Irish and rock & roll. The group’s mission is to have fun, and it shows!
