Concerts in the Park: Jivin’ Ivan and the Kings of Swing

Free concerts throughout the summer. Bring a chair or blanket. Ivan Whillock, Faribault’s Renaissance man, plays trombone, picks the guitar and sings songs as they were meant to be sung. The band features Minnesota Rock/Country Music Hall of Famer Dr. Mike Hildebrandt on fiddle and sundry other stringed instruments, keyboard virtuoso Doug Madow, drummer Mark Whillock, classical jazz bassist Paul Ousley and lead vocalist Dallas Musselman. The ensemble specializes in music from the American songbook prior to the 1950s.
