The Foxgloves is an all-female Midwestern Americana band from the Twin Cities. Sometimes bright and driving, other times shadowy and searching, their vibrant four-part harmonies and stacked instrumentation bring to life compelling stories that make you laugh and make you think. From lean-in moments to joyous, foot-stomping tunes that make it hard to stand still, the energy shifts from song to song, but it never lets up. Bad Mama channels the inner funk of Carrie Jennings on vocals/tenor sax, Martha Larson on vocals/cello, Laura Stelter on keyboard and Allyson Wopata on drums.
