Country Two-Step Basics & Beyond

Grab your boots and join us for a weekday evening of dancing in the Barrel Room! We’re excited to welcome Shake a Leg Dance Instructors Lynette and Randy for a fun and welcoming Country Two-Step lesson. Country Two-Step is a smooth, progressive partner dance done to country music. It features a quick-quick, slow-slow rhythm that travels around the dance floor in a circular pattern. It’s one of the most popular country partner dances and is perfect for everything from classic country hits to today’s favorites. Once you learn the basics, you’ll be ready to take it to any country dance night. This is a partner dance, but don’t worry if you’re coming solo. We’ll rotate solo partners throughout the lesson so everyone has a chance to dance and learn comfortably. No experience needed — beginners are absolutely welcome. Come early to grab a glass of wine, a craft cocktail, beer, or mocktail before we get started. Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or have two left boots, this is your chance to learn something new and have a blast doing it. Doors at 6pm. Lesson + practice 6:30-8pm. $15 advance online, $20 at the door.
